Bhopal: Conservator of Forests Bhopal Alok Pathak has removed two forest personnel Mansaram and Manohar Rai from the flying squad, 5 days after the audio of bargaining over the release of a teak-laden pickup van went viral. Along with this, a show cause notice has also been issued to them.

Mansaram, who was part of the flying squad, caught a pick-up van coming for illegal harvesting of teak from Ichhawar range of Sehore forest division and selling it at Ara machine located in Govindpura, Bhopal. Before the ranger Anil Sharma of the flying squad came to know about it, he tried to bargain through forest guard Mansharam Matin. Mansharam, a member of the flying squad, took action to seize the pickup van and teak wood after the full audio of the bargaining conversation went viral.

Forest Conservator Bhopal took the viral audio seriously. Immediately after returning from leave, forest guard Mansharam Tekwar and forest guard Manohar Rai, who played a suspicious role in this entire episode, were removed from the flying squad team and posted in Nazirabad range. Along with this, a show cause notice has been issued to them, which has been given time to reply within 15 days.

While giving notice to Manohar Rai, a favorite permanent employee of the top officer sitting at the headquarters, he has said that Rai’s act has tarnished the image of the department. Permanent worker Manohar Rai has been found guilty of illegally cutting and transporting trees in Danish Nagar without permission to reach the saw machine. Apart from this, according to the notice, Ranger Anil Sharma has also accused Rai of making the audio viral with the help of Ashfaq.
