Ujjain News: Child Drowns in Mine While Taking Care of Grazing Goats

In Ujjain, a young boy who went to graze goats met with a tragic incident on Friday evening. While returning home, he fell into a mine. The boy’s companions witnessed the incident and immediately informed his family. After a search, the boy’s lifeless body was recovered later that evening.

The victim, identified as Rohit, a 12-year-old boy from Mannpur village in the Narvar Thana area, had ventured into the jungle for goat grazing. As he passed near the mine on his way back, he slipped and fell, leading to his unfortunate drowning. Other children who were also returning from the jungle raised an alarm and informed the family members upon reaching the village.

Upon receiving the information, the villagers rushed to the site and initiated a search operation. Eventually, the boy’s body was retrieved from the water and promptly taken to the district hospital. Medical professionals conducted a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death. The authorities from Narvar Thana police station have stated that an investigation is underway.
