Pune : Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the first phase of ‘Shivshristi’, a historical theme park based on the life of Maratha Warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, on Sunday at Ambegaon in Pune. Amit Shah made the remarks while addressing the inauguration of the first phase of ‘Shiv Shristi’, a theme park based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji.
Shivaji Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a ruler who carved a niche for himself with his guerrilla tactics is being celebrated today.
Shivaji is well-known for his innovative military tactics that centred around non-conventional methods leveraging strategic factors like geography, speed, and surprise to defeat his more powerful enemies. Chhatrapati Shivaji is known as a torchbearer of good governance and as an accomplished administrator.
According to news agency ANI, Amit Shah said that this theme park will not only depict the inspiring life story of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, but will also take his life’s lessons and teachings to the generations to come. His teachings would inspire people to be ready to sacrifice their language, religion and life.

He said that writing and reading about the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj would also help in realizing the dreams of writer and poet Babasaheb Purandare. Shah said that the theme park would have the facility of holography, project mapping, miniature motion simulation, 3D-4D technology, light and sound technology. All this will revive history.
