Terrorist attack threat in Mumbai, alert after NIA received email
Mumbai : There is a threat of terrorist attack on Mumbai. Many cities of the country have been alerted after NIA received the threat email. NIA has also given this information to Mumbai Police. Police and other agencies are investigating.
A threatening email was received on the email ID of NIA, in which there was a threat of terrorist attack in Mumbai. The e-mailer identified himself as a Talibani and claimed that a terrorist attack would take place in Mumbai on the orders of Sirajuddin Haqqani, a prominent leader of the Taliban organization.
As soon as information about the threatening email was received, it was informed to the Mumbai Police. Police and other agencies are currently probing and trying to ascertain from where the email was sent. Along with this, an alert has been issued in different cities of the country.
Earlier in January also there was a threat of terrorist attack in Mumbai. A man called the Mumbai Police control room and threatened to detonate bombs at various places across the city. The person threatening said on the phone that on the lines of 1993, he would spread terror by blasting at various places in Mumbai. It was said to carry out these attacks within 2 months.
