Punjab Crime: Woman Fatally Shot Dead for Consuming Liquor in Patiala Gurdwara
A distressing incident unfolded at a Gurdwara in Patiala, Punjab, where a 32-year-old woman lost her life in a fatal shooting. The victim, Parminder Kaur, was allegedly found consuming alcohol on the Gurdwara premises, leading to a confrontation with the congregation. Nirmaljit Singh, a property dealer and regular visitor to the Gurdwara, fired multiple shots at Kaur, resulting in her tragic death. The accused has been taken into custody by the police, who have stated that he had no previous criminal record.

The incident occurred near the holy water tank of Dukhniwarn Sahib Gurdwara on Sunday evening as confirmed by Patiala Senior Superintendent of Police, Varun Sharma. Eyewitnesses reported that the congregation noticed Kaur’s behavior and attempted to escort her to the manager’s office. However, in a burst of anger, Nirmaljit Singh Saini fired five rounds from his licensed revolver, resulting in Kaur’s tragic death.
The police are now conducting a thorough investigation into the motive behind the shooting and the circumstances leading up to this tragic incident.
