Rainfall in Various Parts of Rajasthan, Two Died Due to Lightning Strikes
Tragedy struck the Dholpur district of Rajasthan as two separate incidents of lightning strikes claimed the lives of two young individuals and left three others injured. The incidents occurred during Wednesday evening when thunderstorms and rain accompanied by dust storms lashed parts of the region.
In the first incident, Ankush Sharma, aged 20, was sitting in a hut near his house in Sadpur village when lightning struck. Tragically, Ankush lost his life due to the lightning strike, while his brothers Rahul, Rohit, and Mohit, who were with him at the time, sustained injuries. Fortunately, their injuries were not deemed serious.
In another unfortunate incident, Gajendra, aged 24, was in Foospura village when heavy rainfall began. Seeking shelter from the downpour, Gajendra took refuge in a nearby straw shed. However, as lightning struck the area, the straw caught fire, engulfing the shed and tragically leading to Gajendra’s death.
The lightning strikes not only resulted in the loss of two lives but also caused significant damage. Two huts were burnt to ashes along with the goods and straw stored inside.
The weather department has indicated the likelihood of thunderstorms and rain persisting in certain parts of Jaipur.
