Bhopal Train Status : Trains running late due to fog are also affecting the trains of Bhopal Railway Division. On Thursday, 12001 Shatabdi Express running between Rani Kamlapati to New Delhi was delayed by 45 minutes. Shatabdi from Rani Kamalapati was flagged off at 4.00 pm instead of 3.15 pm. Apart from this, the Rajdhani Express running between Hazrat Nizamuddin to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus was also rescheduled by 1.45 hours. Earlier, 12002 Shatabdi Express running between New Delhi to Rani Kamlapati reached Rani Kamlapati station late by one hour and five minutes at 3.45 pm. Apart from Rani Kamalapati-New Delhi Shatabdi, 22181 Jabalpur-Nizamuddin Express running from Jabalpur was rescheduled for 1.30 hours.
Apart from this, three trains running from Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin station to Bhopal ran late by three and a half hours. Due to this, the railway passengers had to face a lot of trouble. Actually, due to the fog, the trains are reaching their destination late. For this reason, trains are being rescheduled before running on the other side.
The India Meteorological Department categorises fog as ‘very dense’ when visibility is between 0 and 50 metres, 51 and 200 metres is considered ‘dense’, 201 and 500 metres ‘moderate’, and 501 and 1,000 metres is categorised as ‘shallow’ fog, The cold wave in several parts of the country has heavily affected the railway movement on Thursday. A PTI report quoted a railways spokesperson as saying that several trains were delayed by one-and-a-half to six hours due to the foggy weather. The fog has reduced visibility all over North India. IMD said in a statement, dense to very dense fog and cold day conditions are likely to continue over North-West India during the next three-four days.
