Currently, there is only one electric two-wheeler in Bajaj’s portfolio. Whose name is Chetak. Talking about this electric scooter, it has been performing well in terms of sales in the country since its launch due to its range, power and brand value. If we talk about the last few months, the demand for electric vehicles has increased in the market. Due to which Bajaj is now preparing to upgrade the Chetak electric scooter. The type approval document of the updated model of the electric scooter has been leaked, which suggests that the 2023 Bajaj Chetak could be launched in the market with more range than before.
Bajaj has received type approval for the new Chetak electric scooter, the document of which has been shared by Rushlane. The document reveals that the updated model will be equipped with more range than the current Chetak Electric. However, its battery pack and electric motor capacity will be the same as before. It has been told that the weight of the battery will be 24.5 kg. Let us tell you that it is similar to the current model, but still, according to the document, its maximum full charge range will be 108 km.
Currently, the full charge range of the current Bajaj Chetak Electric is said to be 90 Km in Eco mode and 80 Km in Sports mode. The document further reveals that the power of its electric motor will also be similar to the current model. The claim of more range with the same powertrain somewhere indicates that Bajaj may make some changes to the software and controller system in the upcoming electric scooter.
Bajaj Chetak competes with the strong players in the market – electric scooters like Ather 450 series, Ola S1 series, TVS iQube and Hero Vida, which come equipped with many advanced features like touchscreen display, reverse gear etc. It is possible that there can be many changes in the features of the new 2023 Bajaj Chetak.
