On July 4, it also called for sporadic “extremely heavy rainfall” over north Kerala and the coastal and ghat regions of south central Karnataka. Six districts in Kerala and Karnataka have received a “red alert” from the IMD.
The IMD has issued a “yellow alert” for July 7 for Surat, Navsari, Bhavnagar, Botad, and Surendranagar and a “red alert” for three districts in Gujarat: Amreli, Gir Somnath, and Valsad.
