There is heavy snowfall in the higher reaches of Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. This is the biggest reason for the severe cold in North India. The minimum temperature in Delhi remained below 5 degrees Celsius for five consecutive days.

Severe cold in North India
