Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently engaged in a productive bilateral meeting with Papua New Guinea’s Prime Minister, James Marape, in Port Moresby. The discussions encompassed a wide range of issues concerning the bilateral relations between India and Papua New Guinea. Additionally, Prime Ministers Modi and Marape jointly unveiled a translation of the Tamil classic ‘Thirukkural’ in the Tok Pisin language of Papua New Guinea. The book, co-authored by Subha Sasindran and Governor Sasindran Muthuvel of West New Britain Province, serves as a bridge between Indian thought, culture, and the people of Papua New Guinea.

Earlier, Prime Minister Modi also held talks with Governor General Bob Dadae at the historic Government House in Port Moresby. These meetings highlight the significance of the India-Papua New Guinea ties and the development partnership between the two nations.
