Twitter, the popular social media platform, has recently announced that users now have an extended timeframe of up to 1 hour to edit their tweets. This marks a significant change as the previous editing limit was only 30 minutes.

The update comes as part of Twitter Blue, the subscription service priced at $7.99 per month, and has been hailed as a highly-requested feature by the platform’s users. Subscribers can now modify their posts multiple times within the 1-hour window, providing more flexibility and control over their content.

This news has generated excitement among Twitter users, who can now make edits to their tweets even after posting them. The extended editing time offers an opportunity to correct errors, revise thoughts, or add additional information before the tweet becomes permanent.

With the option to edit the original and quoted tweets, users can ensure the accuracy and clarity of their messages, fostering better communication on the platform.

It’s important to note that this feature is currently available only to members of Twitter Blue, which was introduced globally in March. However, in India, the subscription service was launched earlier, in February.

Twitter Blue also offers other benefits, including a verified status indicator in the form of a blue tick for accounts. Previously, this verification was provided without any charge, but with the introduction of Twitter Blue, it is now part of the subscription package.

With the new 1-hour editing option, Twitter aims to enhance user experience and empower individuals to have more control over their tweets.
